Descendants of Alexander McNeur and Ann Frazer
They seem to have produced the largest number of descendants in this branch of the family,
with some still in Scotland and some in Canada.
Alexander and Ann had 3 sons:
- Alexander Crawford McNeur, born 18 May 1890. He married Isabella Orr and they had 2 children, Robert (born 1918) and
Jean (born 1926). Robert married Greta, they had 3 children Alison, Alistair (who lives in Vancouver, Canada, and David -
a teacher in Fairlie, Scotland.
Jean married Andrew Crawford, and had Isabel and Robert - they still live in Scotland.
- Robert McNeur. Born 1892. Missing in action in the Dardenelles, Gallipoli, 12 July 1915 and later confirmed dead.

FAIRLIE SOLDIER MISSING
Official information has been received by Mr Alex McNeur, Crofts End House, Fairlie, that his son, Sargt Robert McNeur,
1/4th Royal Scots Fusiliers, has been posted missing since the engagement at the Dardenelles on 12th July.
Sargt. McNeur is twenty-four years of age, and was employed as an engineering draughtsman with Andrew Barclay, Sons & Co,
Caledonia Works, with whom he served his apprenticeship. He joined the Territorial Force eight years ago.
Any information regarding him will be gratefully received by his father at the above address.
- William. Born 16 Jan 1897. Married Elizabeth (Bessie) McNaught 30 Oct 1917. Died 07Jan 1981. Willy inherited the
artistic bent and used to paint little robins on the back of each envelope he posted so we loved getting letters from him.
Willie and Bessie had 5 children; 3 girls and 1 son. They all married and had children, and at present there are
approximately 8 grand children. 1 of Willie's granddaughters, Fiona Ross has been in contact with Ian's daughter
Kathy since 1965. They finally met in Scotland in 2011.
